Elena Vera

Elena grew up in Italy where she graduated from the University of Parma in 2013. After two years of equine practice in Italy, she moved to Belgium where she completed a rotating internship at the Equine Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Liège.

From there she moved to Newmarket, to undertake an imaging internship at Rossdales Diagnostic Centre.

Before joining the Sussex Equine Hospital, she spent two years and a half working in an equine clinic in Essex.

Elena’s areas of interest are equine diagnostic imaging and orthopaedics. Last year, she started the ISELP Certification (The International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology) to further improve her skills.

Outside work she enjoys riding, playing tennis, travelling and spending time with her young nephews.
