Veterinary Nursing

Equine Veterinary Nurses are a key member of the clinical team at Sussex Equine Hospital and are on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year alongside, our vets, residents and interns. The nurses provide a high level of care to all patients to ensure the best chance of a healthy outcome.

We are very proud of our nursing team as they assist with a wide variety of all aspects of care such as:

• Neonatal nursing
• Imaging – CT, MRI, Scintigraphy & Radiography
• Surgical nursing – standing or under general anaesthetic
• Critical care nursing

We are also a training practice for the College of Animal Welfare for Equine Veterinary Nursing which provides opportunity to further educate the next generation of equine veterinary nurses.

All our nursing staff adhere to an RCVS Professional Code of Conduct for Veterinary Nurses, which describes their professional responsibilities for best practice.
