Endocrinology and Laminitis

Common endocrine disease in the horse include Equine Cushings (PPID) and insulin dysregulation (Equine metabolic syndrome) both these conditions can affect horse welfare and are also involved in laminitis.

Investigations often involve clinical examinations, resting and dynamic blood testing and radiography. The internal medicine team can help with management and treatment plans for these sometimes-tricky cases.
