Prescriptions

You can obtain Prescription Only Medications (POM-V. POM-VPS) from your veterinary surgeon or request a prescription and obtain these medications from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.

Written prescriptions for POM-V or POM-VPS medicines are valid for 6 months.

Any written prescriptions for controlled drugs are valid for 28 days from date of issue.

Your veterinary surgeon may only prescribe POM-V and POM-VPS medications for animals under their care.

The price of any medicine that may be prescribed or dispensed for your animal is available on request.

The cost for providing a prescription will be £24.20 +VAT (£29.04inc VAT).
