Respiratory Disease

Disease of the lower and upper respiratory tract are common in horses.  Diseases such as equine asthma, pneumonia and Strangles are all often investigated by the team.

Investigations include clinical examination, video endoscopy, sampling from the upper and lower respiratory tract with laboratory testing, ultrasonography and radiography.

Some of these conditions require intensive treatment in the hospital often using antimicrobials and anti-inflammatories, intra nasal oxygen or other interventional treatment.
